The ideal height to install a sensor is between 2.8m and 3.2m from the ground to the sensor lens. The minimum height the sensor should be installed is 2.4m and maximum is 3.6m from the ground to the sensor lens.
What's required:
- M10 Threaded Rod
- Rod Mounts (provided by XY Sense)
- Concrete Anchors
- Cable ties
- In the correct location drill a hole suitable for the insertion & fixing of a M10 threaded rod directly into the concrete ceiling.
- The length of the rod should allow the sensor to be a similar height to the other sensors fixed on the suspended ceiling (the recommended height for the installation is between 2.8-3.2m from the floor to the lens)
- Screw the sensor mount bracket onto the rod in a clockwise direction and feed the ethernet cable through the hole in the bracket

- Tie the hanging ethernet cable to the threaded rod using cable ties.

Ensuring the bracket arrow is correctly directed, note the sensor ID number, connect the ethernet cable(s) and screw the sensor onto the Rod Mount - the sensor rotates clockwise into the bracket.
