Sensor Line of Sight Obstructions

Please use the below as a guide of what to look out for when completing a site walkthrough prior to an installation. 

Obstruction	Description	Image
Pendant Lights	Pendant lights can cause an obstruction that’s not obvious on a floor plan, as they hang from the ceiling and can block the line of sight of a sensor.
Sit/Stand Desk	A workstation may be obstructed by a sit/stand desk being raised that is between the sensor and the desk that is still at sitting height behind it.
Plants	Decorative office planter boxes (left) can result in obstruction. Hanging plants (right) also cause obstruction and may not be on the floor plans.
AV Equipment	If a TV is displaying a person over a conference call, the sensor might detect them as a sighting.
Posters/Banners	Posters and banners with life-size pictures of people can be picked up as sightings - these can be Geofenced out.
Exposed Ducting	Exposed Ducting can cause an obstruction that’s not obvious on a floor plan, as it hangs from the ceiling and block line of sight
