How are the Hubs linked together?

In installations where there are multiple Hubs on a floor, the hubs need to be connected via an ethernet cable.

Each floor will have a Primary Hub with a 4G Router, and each Secondary Hub on that floor needs to be connected directly to the Primary Hub to get the data connection it requires.

A Sensor Link output is lost from the Primary Hub for each additional Secondary Hub that is added.

There is no requirement to connect Hubs between floors.

  • In the illustration below, there are 2 Secondary Hubs connected to a Primary Hub
  • Two outputs from the Primary Hub cannot be used as a Sensor Link Output (i.e. the quantity of sensors connected to the Primary Hub reduces by 6 for each Secondary Hub)
  • Each additional Secondary Hub will have 4 Sensor Link outputs
  • Each additional Secondary Hub will need to be connected directly to the Primary Hub
