Collaborative Spaces Utilization (Dashboard Spotlight) 📺

NOTE: You need to ensure all Collaboration spaces capacities have been entered, or provided to XY Sense for this dashboard to work properly

 

This dashboard provides a deep-dive into the utilization of your collaboration spaces. Note there is a "Space Type" filter which allows you to capture specific data for Meeting Rooms, Breakout Spaces etc. The space types are defined in the XY Sense space mapping tool.

 

Collaboration Space Utilization

The Daily Active Threshold defines the minimum total time occupied for a space to be utilized - this impacts the utilization calculation for collaboration spaces. Typically we set the threshold value as a greater amount of minutes occupied in total per day (defaults to 60 minutes) for collaboration spaces since they are shared office wide and therefore expect more usage in a given day.

 

Hours Occupied
Hours occupied indicates the total cumulative time your collaboration spaces are occupied on average. Hours occupied only calculates based on spaces that have been occupied (non-zero).

 

Fullness

Fullness looks at the ratio of the occupants to the space capacity,

 

Understand overall collaboration space utilization by time and location

Review graphs to understand how collaboration spaces perform across buildings, floors and by day of week and hour of day. 

 

Deep dive into trends by space type and space capacity

Understand how much of each space type is being used across the typical workday - identify time when a space type is popular or when all of its spaces may be fully occupied and unavailable for use.

Understand if you have enough spaces of each capacity level compared with how often they are utilized. 

Review if your collaboration spaces are rightsized for the average occupants in those spaces.
