This guide explains how to access, filter, and export Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) data from the XY Sense platform for WELL Certification purposes.
The WELL/IAQ Dashboard can be accessed via this link: WELL/IAQ extract dashboard
01. Overview
The WELL/IAQ Export dashboard allows you to extract sensor data from your buildings in a format suitable for WELL Certification submission. Data is recorded in 5-minute intervals and can be filtered by building, floor, date range, and sensor ID before export.
- Building selection is required before any data will load.
- The dashboard preview is limited to 5,000 rows. A full CSV export is required to access the complete dataset.
- Multiple sensor IDs are grouped together in the CSV output for ease of review.
02. Accessing the Dashboard
Navigate to the WELL/IAQ Export dashboard from within the XY Sense platform:
1 Log in to your XY Sense account at app.xysense.io
2 From the top navigation, click Insights
3 Select WELL/IAQ Export from the menu of dashboards
03. Applying Filters & Loading Data
Use the filter bar at the top of the dashboard to scope your data before loading.
1 Building (required) — Select your building from the dropdown. The dashboard will not load without this.
2 Floor (optional) — Filter to a specific floor, or leave as "any value" to include all floors.
3 Date Range — Defaults to the last 1 complete month. Adjust as needed for your reporting period.
4 Sensor ID (optional) — Filter to a specific sensor, or leave as "any value" to include all sensors.
5 Is Active Hours — Defaults to Active. Adjust if you need data outside of active hours.
6 Click the blue Load button in the top right corner to load the data.
| Note: If you change any filters after the initial load, click the Update button (top right) to reload the data with the new filters applied. |
04. Exporting the Full Dataset as CSV
The dashboard preview is capped at 5,000 rows. Follow these steps to download the complete dataset:
1 Locate the table you want to export within the dashboard.
2 Click the 3 vertical dots (⋮) in the top right corner of that table.
3 Select Download Data from the dropdown menu.
4 A pop-up will appear asking for your preferred format — select CSV.
5 Click Advanced Data Options to expand additional settings.
6 Under "Number of rows to include", select All results.

7 Click Download to save the CSV file to your device.
| Note: The exported CSV will include data in 5-minute intervals. You can remove any rows that are not required for your WELL submission. If multiple sensor IDs are included, the csv will group all data related to an individual sensor within the same set of rows. Subsequent sensors will be listed underneath. |
05. Understanding Your Export
Data interval: Readings are captured every 5 minutes. Each row in the CSV represents one 5-minute measurement period per sensor.
Multiple sensors: If your filter includes more than one sensor ID, all sensors will appear grouped with their own data.
Removing extra rows: If you only need data for a specific time window or subset of sensors, you can filter and delete rows directly in the CSV before submitting.
06. Need Help?
