Workpoints Utilisation (Dashboard Spotlight) 📺

 

This dashboard provides a deep-dive into the utilization of your spaces of Global Space Type "Personal Workspaces". This includes desking, workstations and individual work spaces such as offices. In this dashboard you can understand overal workpoint utilization trends, as well as usage breakdown by Space Group to understand workpoint utilization by your space groups - this can be teams, neighbourhoods or zones. 

Use the "Daily Active Threshold" filter to customise what utilization means for your workplace. This means the minimum total time across the day for a workspace to be considered utilized. All daily utilisation figures in this dashboard are subject to this input.

 

Workpoint Utilization

Understand overall workpoint utilization by building/floor, hour of day or day of week. 

Daily utilization is calculated with respect to the minimum total time occupied set via the Daily Active Threshold. Typically we set the threshold value as a greater amount of minutes occupied in total per day (defaults to 30 minutes). In other words, if your threshold =30 minutes, then the utilization number you see 26%, this means 26% of desks are at least used for 30 minutes on an average day in the date range.

Charts that breakdown by hour of day uses the Hourly Active Threshold (default is 5 minutes) which is set via your customer Admin in Organization settings. This indicates the % of spaces that are occupied in each hour, defined as being occupied for a total time greater than the Hourly Active Threshold. 

 

Spaces Used / Not used  / Never Used 

This gives you a perspective on how many desks on a given day on average are used above your minimum threshold (Daily Active Threshold). This helps to understand if you have enough desking for your teams and be indicative of how full the office may feel. 

Desks never used indicate these are desks which have never been occupied across the date range. This can show heavily under-utilised desks within your real estate for re-allocation or change in space design.

 

Hours Occupied
Hours occupied indicates the total cumulative time your workpoints are occupied on average. Hours occupied only calculates based on spaces that have been occupied (non-zero). There are also Hours occupied (utilized spaces) which averages the hours occupied for spaces with time occupied above the daily active threshold.  

 

Brealdowns by Space Group

Understand the usage of spaces broken down by space group to inform allocation of personal workspaces against their usage. This includes understanding which days the personal workspaces of each space group are the most popular and times of the day where there is the most usage. 

 

Workpoint Categories 

Gain some perspective into how desks are used across a week - contrasting Remote working desks which experience infrequent short adhoc utilization (1 day or less, 1-3 hours per day) with Desk Bound style desks experiencing high and consistent utilization (4-5 days per week, 4-6 hours per day).
