How do I set the scale on a floor plan?

To set the scale on a Floor Plan, first import an image of the floor plan to the desired customer floor.

To set the scale press the "set scale" button in the tool bar at the top of floor plan image

The set scale button will turn into a text box. Use the drop down arrow to pick which measurement should be used. This is either cm or inches.

Take your mouse curser to a point on the floor plan and draw a marked measurement. Click from one end to the other end of a marked line. A green line will appear. This will mark out where you have clicked.

TIPS:

• If there are no marked measurements on the floor plan, a standard door frame is 90cm
• Larger measurements are better than small ones eg. if there are a few pixels error difference at each end of the measurement, it will create a smaller error margin on a longer line than a shorter one.

Type the line measurement from the floor plan into the set scale text box. Click the tick next to box to set the scale.

Check the measurement by clicking on the ruler tool and measuring the same line again by clicking with the mouse, and preferably a doorway as well to check it is also around 90cm (within a couple of cms, curser is not very accurate). If it is not correct, please repeat the process.

Once this has been completed correctly, the floor scale has been set!
