How to find saved Cognito passwords

As part of the update to our sign in flow, we are moving away from an externally hosted sign in page to a self hosted replacement.

• The old page was hosted by aws cognito at https://xyapp-master.auth.ap-southeast-2.amazoncognito.com/
• The new page is hosted alongside the web app at https://app.xysense.io/

The change of domain will mean that password managers will not auto fill any saved passwords.

Recovering Chrome passwords

If users relied on chromes to manage their passwords, they can recover their xysense password by;

1. Opening chrome settings at chrome://settings/passwords
2. Searching for save passwords by the old domain

 

Resetting lost passwords

Users can always use the reset password option. This must be initiated by the user via the login page.

Remember that email addresses are case sensitive, so check the users email via the admin→users section of the app if they are unable to reset their password.
